Dear colleagues:

It is my honour to inform you that the next European meeting of International Society for Neonatal Screening will be held in Prague, Czech Republic, April 26-28th, 2009.

The main topics provisionally include: education of professionals in newborn screening (NS), congenital hypothyroidism, congenital adrenal hyperplasia, inherited metabolic disorders (phenylketonuria, expanded metabolic NS by tandem mass spectrometry, NS for lysosomal storage diseases), cystic fibrosis, genetics (general and in NS), new methodologies in NS.

I would like to ask you to publish the link to meeting websites on your society websites to inform all your collegues in newborn screening.

2008 Newborn Screening and Genetic Testing Symposium

November 3-6, 2008- San Antonio, TX

Dear Members and Attendees,

We invite you to submit abstracts for oral presentations, posters or roundtables for the 2008 Newborn Screening & Genetic Testing Symposium being held in San Antonio, TX from November 3-6, 2008.

This year all submissions will be handled online. Full details on this process are contained in the Call for Abstracts (PDF). Please read and follow these is only a nine week period to submit abstracts so please keep that in mind and get your abstracts in early. The deadline for abstract submission is June 13, 2008.

Conference registration will open later this month. For your planning purposes, the registration fees are as follows:
Early (until Oct. 1, 2008) - $350
Late (after Oct. 1, 2008) - $400
Student - $100
One Day - $200

The meeting will be held at the Crowne Plaza Riverwalk Hotel in downtown San Antonio, TX. The conference rate is $139 (single/double) plus tax per night. There are a limited number of federal per diem rooms available. Details may be found on the hotel website.
